Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone......and as we all know the New Year is about resolutions and also new beginings.....so with this in mind one of my resolutions is to post much more regularily on my blog and to also comment on yours as well plus do a few more challenges and.......well you get the picture. So I am going to start off with a couple of cards and layouts that I did for Nicole aka Craft Queen http://www.craftqueen.com.au/index.php.
Nicole very graciously asked me to use the ribbons from the January Ribbon Club http://www.craftqueen.com.au/ribbon-club/january-2013-ribbon-club/prod_11606.html and they are just so beautiful.

With these I did the following layouts, the first is of my one of my gorgeous neices Haylee -

I used the beautiful velvet green ribbon and placed the cute dotted pink one on top, tied a bow out of the blue and wrapped a pretty little rose around the center. All the embellies used are available from Craft Queen, I especially like the little wooden flowers.

Second is a page of my two cute little cousins Indigo and Finlay -

I cut the ribbons on this page and made banners out of them, the little birds are also cut from the ribbon (thanks Kim for the idea) and by sticking the ribbon onto white cardstock first the fiddly cutting out was so much easier. The stripey ribbon was perfect for under the pic. Used some Echo Park pp here, Summer Days suited the pic and ribbons so well.

Next up are a couple of cards......now I normally suck big time making general occasion cards but what a difference these gorgeous ribbons made.....really boosted the creativity along.

Just for you used the green and peach, some more pretty roses, kaiser pearls, lots of inking and some stitching.

The Thankyou card used  the green velvet, blue and peach coloured ribbons, the diecut banner, little roses and metal flowers are again all available from Craft Queen.

So once again I would like to say thankyou to Nicole for this wonderful opportunity and if you are a ribbon lover be sure to check out her site and see for yourself the fantastic range of ribbons (as well as other scrapbooking products) available.

Hugs and love till next time (which will be soon)
