OMG I HAVE BLOGGED!!!!!!

Just wanted to share a couple of recent layouts I have done, the first is for the current challenge at http:// www.orangepaperieandco.blogspot .com.au/2013/11/ some-more-layouts-from-dt-to-in spire-you.html where the lovely Jo has a sketch with the added criteria of fussy cutting and using die cuts. I used this stunning pic of my friend Susan Walters gorgeous little granddaughter Bella for my page. I gave the page to Sue as a gift and didn't expect the reaction I got, she was quite overwhelmed, made the work I put into this so worthwhile. A bit of a closie showing the gorgeous flower which I did mutilate by pulling apart, oh dear The second is so precious to me, it is my amazing cousin Sandra Nuttall with her new son Everett, who came into this world a bit too early and fought very hard to stay, thankfully a battle he won, the look of love and wonder on her face as she watches him sleep leaves me speechless. The page with Sandra

This wasn't for any challenge or dt work, this is a just cause I wanted to page, love the pic and had lots of yummy kaiser pps to play with. So pleased with the end result. Washi tape (chevron), wooden butterfly from CraftQueen http://www.craftqueen.com.au/ . Ribbon rose, pps, butterflies and large resin rose all from Kasier, other bits and pieces not too sure. Title might seem a bit strange, but as the hidden journalling on the tag behind the pic says, these two (my son Shaun and his girlfriend Bron) aren't lovey dovey, so it is very appropriate for them. Thanks for looking Hugs and love Annette xo

Orange Paperie & Co February Challenge

Image
The Challenge at Orange Paperie & Co for February  http://www.orangepaperieandco.blogspot.com.au/ is to use the  awesome sketch there by the lovely Kim, as well as using the sketch extras like buttons, sequins/beads had to be added. I kept pretty much to the sketch itself but I tried a few different things with this page and I have to admit I am pretty happy with the end result. I made a template of the heart, just roughly cut one out of light weight cs and used it as a mask (saw this used on a Creative Jumpstart on Natalie Kalbachs' Blog). Over the top of that and in the position it wanted I placed strips of plasterboard joint tape (saw this on an episode of Scrap It TV) and scrapped gesso over the top. Lifted it off and wow what a great effect. Used an orange, red and yellow crayon to add a few highlights and then sprayed with glimmermist, used Key Lime Pie, Jack Frost, Sunshine and Tuttie Frutti. A black pen was great for outlining the shapes and then some lovely w

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone......and as we all know the New Year is about resolutions and also new beginings.....so with this in mind one of my resolutions is to post much more regularily on my blog and to also comment on yours as well plus do a few more challenges and.......well you get the picture. So I am going to start off with a couple of cards and layouts that I did for Nicole aka Craft Queen http://www.craftqueen.com.au/index.php . Nicole very graciously asked me to use the ribbons from the January Ribbon Club http://www.craftqueen.com.au/ribbon-club/january-2013-ribbon-club/prod_11606.html and they are just so beautiful. With these I did the following layouts, the first is of my one of my gorgeous neices Haylee - I used the beautiful velvet green ribbon and placed the cute dotted pink one on top, tied a bow out of the blue and wrapped a pretty little rose around the center. All the embellies used are available from Craft Queen, I especially like the little wooden fl
